Carla's Birthday/Easter - picture bomb!!!

Carla had a fantastic 8th Birthday!  It was about a 2 week celebration that lead up to the following pictures...

The morning of Carla's birthday opening her presents from Mom & Dad :)
The night before Carla's birthday we had a little Wright Family birthday party... we had gotten together with my family the weekend before while Auntie Jeannette & Rina were in town.

Reading a really long birthday card.

Opening the present sent by the Mosbrucker family in Washington.

Thank you Matt for the tiny Root-beer float cup, and the sweet story about Grandma Carla.

She's such a little ham...

Mario and Ranger, playing tug of war.  Ranger lets Mario win.

Popping Bubble Wrap... next year she just gets bubble wrap.

Carla, being sung to.

She's such a sweetheart.

Make a wish!
On her actual birthday, I took Carla and her Grandma Tammy out for lunch at Applebees (Carla loves Applebees).
After thy sang to Carla and brought her dessert!
Easter was right around the corner, so we moved on to egg dying and getting ready for Easter dinner.  While Carla dyed eggs I did a bunch of prep cook so that Easter wasn't a rush.
Saturday before Easter, Carla dying eggs.

Hamming it up...

Hunting the living room for eggs.

Getting ready for the town Easter Egg Hunt.

Carla and Ryder :)
Monday, Carla had a cardiologist appointment with Dr. Hardy in Missoula. We left the house by 8:45 for the 11:45 appointment. Everything looks good and they coronary disease found in December has not affected the function of Carla's heart.

Before her echo.
Since we had to travel 3 hours for a doctor appointment (and 3 hours home) we thought hitting up Red Robin while in Missoula was a fun and special treat. It's always good to have a Mommy/Daughter date.
Mother-Daughter selfie!!

Nummy Spaghetti!
(Since being taken off of Cyclosporine this child actually eats!)

We were having a really fun time together.

After getting in the van... she slipped and cut her chin on her to-go milkshake straw.
But at least she didn't spill the milkshake! :)
Good Friday, Carla popped up with a pesky cough... At first I thought it might be allergies but when it persisted to Saturday I realized she was sick. I was slathering her up with essential oils, and it seemed to be working... but going back to school on Tuesday I think was too soon. By Thursday she was clearly developing an infection. I took her to the pediatrician on Friday, she has a little bit of a bronchitis going on, so we started antibiotics and breathing treatments as needed.  Carla hasn't done a breathing treatment since before she got her heart.  She was quite a pro!
Doing a breathing treatment at the doctor's office.
(Yes, she wore her PJs to the doctor's office).

Carla's classmate birthday party was supposed to be today at the Peak in Great Falls.  We had to cancel and have rescheduled for next weekend!  Hopefully she will be all better by then.  Also, next Sunday we will be flying out for Carla's vocal cord procedure that is scheduled for Monday, the 20th.  Lets pray she is all better by then, because she can't do the procedure with a cold.  We did that last time and the procedure was somewhat unsuccessful. So, if this cough doesn't clear up, we will have to reschedule... (which would be a total pain in the bottom).

Love, Jen
