Our little rock star has been settling in to her new life here at home. Last Wednesday there was a newspaper reporter who met with us and Carla about our return home and the article appeared on the front of Monday's Great Falls Tribune. And then, on Tuesday a reporter from the local news came out and interviewed us and Carla about our return home. So, Carla has been quite the little rock star around here. Things are going well and we are feeling extremely blessed and happy! This Sunday we have to return to Seattle for a Monday morning appointment at Children's and I just can't believe how time has flown by. It's been 3 weeks since we got home... ALREADY! Life has settled in and we are doing well. The house is together, Cody has visited, Carla has started school, and we have made a trip to Helena. There are still a lot of people that we need to see, but we have time, and that's awesome!
Today Carla is on a field trip to the Children's Museum in Great Falls, lunch in the park and then to the CM Russel Museum. I can't wait to see how tuckered out she's going to be from all the walking she will have done today. I think school has been awesome for her and I am so happy that she has had this opportunity to be around so many of her peers. It's a whole new world for Carla, and she is doing fabulously! She is getting so much better at the stairs and she has also taken to running around a bit. Just being home has helped her start acting more like a child and less like a patient.
Bobby and I are not looking forward to the LONG drive back to Seattle, but it is what it is. Please pray for a safe and uneventful trip! :)
