A Wild Night...

I guess Carla had a pretty wild night.  Yesterday around 7:00 p.m. Carla finally woke from her slumber with a vengeance.  She was mad as hell and fighting her breathing tube like crazy, and they had to give her a bunch of sedation meds to get her to calm down.  I have never seen her act like that!  And, we've been told that every 4 hours last night they went through the same thing.  So, now they have her on a new drip of sedation meds... Also, her left lung sounds a little diminished, so they are going to restart vest treatments.  The good news is that her bleeding of the lungs seems to be less.  Hopefully we can get her calmed down and back off of the ventilator quickly.  It's so hard to watch her have to go through all of this and to not be able to make it better for her.  Please pray that little Miss Carla gets better soon so that we can get back to life.  Another bit of good news is that Carla's new heart is functioning very well  :)  so that is awesome!

Love, Jen

To Be or Not to Be said...

I have been following your blog for over a year. I cannot believe what you have endured and what you are going through now. For us "heart" families, it's the "name of the game". I've prayed for Carla and your family. It's good Carla is feisty. Along with miracles from a loving Heavenly Father, it is what will get her through this. It is great news on her heart function. Better days must be just around the corner.
