Easter Baby!

It's Easter!  The sun has been shining for days now and things are great.  Carla had her first IV injection of Bortizomib on Friday and then will get another one on Monday, Thursday and then again on Monday.  The process took about 1 hour and seemed to go off without a hitch.  She doesn't seem to be having any kind of reaction to the drug, which is great.  Here's to hoping that the Bortizomib does it's job and that Carla's antibodies start to fall.

Yesterday we dyed Easter eggs, got our stuff together and made our way to Beverly's  house.  Where, the Easter Bunny found us this morning.  The bunny left a basket of goodies as well as a bunch of eggs in the yard for Carla to find.  She enjoyed looking for her eggs and after finding each of the 28 eggs she said:  "I found one!" It was pretty cute.  Today Bev and I will cook up some Easter fixings and call it a day.  I brought stuff for mashed potatoes and green bean casserole.  Beverly has a ham and will be making deviled eggs, banana cream pie, and I'm not sure what else.  We are super blessed to be able to spend this time with her.  Although, we are missing the annual Cascade Easter Egg hunt  as well as dinner with Bobby's family.  But, there's always next year!  Last year we were at the hospital for Easter.  Carla was still residing in the CICU and wasn't yet able to walk again. Bobby's family was visiting us and Carla got to meet the Easter Bunny.  So amazing the difference a year can make...I'm looking forward to seeing what next year brings!

Here are some Easter pictures :)
