First Day of Preschool

Carla, with the sun in her eyes, after after first day of school :)
Last Friday night at the volleyball games, eating popcorn and hangin with Big Brother

Oh, our little ham...

She's so sweet.

How did we get so lucky?

Carla had her first day of Preschool yesterday! We have signed her up for the 1/2 day Preschool program at Educare on Tuesdays and Thursday from 8 to 12. The good news...Bobby's folks own and operate Educare, so whenever times get tough, she has Papa to save her! And, one of our dear friends "Auntie Jessica" is her teacher! So, all in all she's got it pretty good over at Educare.

I set the alarm clock for 6:00 yesterday...it went off and I asked Carla if she was ready to get up and start getting ready for school. She says "Mama, it's still dark out!" and then she practically leaped out of bed, in a good mood and ready to face her new challenges. She has been very excited about getting back to school. She was a little overwhelmed by the other kids...she's not used to being around other kids. But, when she had it rough Papa was there to whisk her away from the action and give her a chance to settle down. She played outside with the other kids, sang songs, and colored the letter A and circles.

A change that I have noticed ALREADY: When I asked Carla to pick up her stuff this morning, she just grabbed it and started putting it away. Instead of pretending like she didn't hear me and wandering around like a lost cat. So, day one of preschool: SUCCESS!!!
love, Jen
