Simmer down...

I'm a little embarrassed about my outburst the other day! It's just that some days life gets the best of you! Since my little poopy pants temper tantrum things have been going well. I couldn't believe how fast Ricky Gates and his team of men dug up our road and yard, fixed the pipe and then put it back together! They started Tuesday afternoon, took a break for dinner and then finished up by 7:30 or 7:45 that night. Talk about good service. They were also very careful not to ruin our sprinkler system lines, so that was a bonus as well!

Last night Bobby played his Alive @ 5:00 gig in Great Falls. It was great! Nice, big, tree covered park by the river. The weather was perfect and the company was even better. Metal Steel sounded awesome and it was so fun that the kids got to come and see Bobby perform. Carla was a little dancing machine and Cody got to hang out with Sydney and family. Very cool. The ONLY downside of the outdoor music adventure were SMOKERS! I mean, I'm not trying to take any one's personal rights away BUT here we are in the park, 5 children (one with half a heart) and 4 adults, minding our own business and 5 people sit down next to us and light up all at once! Now, if it were just adults, I don't give a crap, but don't sit down next to 5 kids and light up! They could walk away to smoke! We didn't even know what to do...our solution - grass fight...no one wants to sit next to a bunch of obnoxious people having a grass fight. And I said (probably loud enough to hear) well, if we have to breath their smoke, they have to deal with our grass...I know, I'm such a bitch. Oh well, it worked. One guy moved and the other 4 quit smoking.

Here are some cute pictures from this past week!

Love, Jen

p.s. I keep forgetting to tell you!!!! The allergy meds are working for Carla. The mysterious cough is AN ALLERGY and taking 1/4 of a Zyrtek clears up the problem. Thank you God! We saw Dr. R. on Tuesday and will see him again on August 4th. Monday marked the beginning of week 5 of Carla's super low fat diet. I literally keep her between 1 and 3 grams of fat per day and here's to hoping it's working. If her x-rays aren't good in August we will have to see what SLC wants us to do. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE pray that her thoracic duct will heal, that she will no longer suffer with pleural effusions....and that her lungs and chest wall will be healthy!!!

Cody, blowing out his low-fat birthday cake :) I still can't believe he is 17! Where does the time go?

On Cody's actual birthday we all helped his Grandparents put in sod...it actually went REALLY FAST!

Yay grass!

Grandma Wright bought Carla this pool. We put it on the back porch and filled it with warm water.

Carla enjoyed herself immensely!

The leak...

Ricky Gates goes to work...

Yep, you got yourself a cracked pipe!

Digging up the pipe (you can see how they went right around our sprinkler line - nice!)

A very short time later! I can't believe what awesome service these guys provided.
